Jackie Robinson ended the long sixty years of segregation in professional baseball. Robinson's breaking of the baseball color line and his professional
success symbolized these broader changes and demonstrated that the fight
for equality was more than simply a political matter. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Robinson) Without Robinson's support for better equality for blacks, we might still live in a segregated age. Jackie showed true bravery, to face the entire world of baseball, and more. He was a symbol, a hero for Negros, he was someone they could follow. Jackie was even to get most white people on his side. From one person, he affected millions. When he was a little boy he probably never thought he would have such a big effect on the world, but he trusted himself to make the right decisions, and he did make the right decisions.
